Farewell Atlanta, Hello Colorado Springs!

The past few weeks have been such a whirlwind of emotions with leaving behind all of our family and friends in Atlanta to embark on a new adventure to Colorado Springs. My husband and I have so much gratitude for the love and support we’ve received from family, friends and colleagues.

Ever since we found out we were relocating to the Springs for an amazing job opportunity, my husband and I had many dinners, lunches and coffee dates with family and friends to say our goodbyes. I was positively overwhelmed by the outpouring of generosity and kindness that everyone showed us. Here’s some snapshots of what went down over the past few weeks.

I’m going to try my best to blog from the road to share our experiences as we travel cross country. Now, on to the next chapter in our lives…

  1. You will love Denver! The Springs is beautiful but much more conservative then most of Denver-Metro.
I have been a vegetarian for about 20 years-Wannabe vegan for about 1 1/2 years. The vegan restaurants are scarce, but Watercourse (Denver), City O City(Denver) and Native Foods in Denver/boulder are all de-lish. Not sure about the Springs. Perhaps you should open a vegan restaurant there. Veg Fest in coming up in early July 5&6 I believe.
Good Luck with your new venture. p.s. best jazz station 89.3 FM kuvo.org

    • Thanks so much for the tips, Shelli! I’ll have to check out those places when I travel to Denver. I’ve found some good vegan options while in the Springs, so that’s good! I’ll post more about my vegan adventures when I get internet in my new place 🙂
