When you look at my photos from the past several years, it’s mostly food. I’ll admit it, I’m obsessed. Ever since I became a vegetarian more than three years ago, and now vegan a month ago, I take pictures of ev-er-y-thing. What did I make for dinner? It’s on Instagram. What do I want to cook in the future? Check it out on Pinterest. And if all else fails, you can see a documentation of my entire year of food through Twitter. Alright, alright, I’m not as bad as some people, but what I’m getting at is that I take a lot of pictures of food.
With the “lost in the details” photo challenge in mind as I was making Lime Orzo with Veggies last night, I noticed the texture of the lime and how interesting it looks when cut open. So, I snapped a shot of it with my phone (see below). I also couldn’t help but notice how cool it looks when it’s all squeezed out (see above). It’s the small things in life that we should all stop and appreciate, which this photo challenge helped me remember when I was cooking.
Anyone else obsessed with photographing their food? Please share with me!
